Brad has had a camera within arm's reach for 40 years. It has been aimed at most anything, but most often captures nature, musicians, or odd fading Americana. His interest in photography started in the Army when he discovered he could use a darkroom in the post craft center, and later taught darkroom technique there. An amateur, Brad photographs from a desire to document rather than to make an artistic statement. His photos have been used by the Unitarian Church of Kent, Portage County Parks, the Record Courier, local bands and the Kent Stage. Many of his Americana photos have appeared in the nationally syndicated "Zippy the Pinhead" comic strip. He has had one solo show at the Unitarian Church in Kent. Brad has also been an electronic engineer, professional musician, local historian, raptor monitor for the Ohio Division of Wildlife, and bicyclist. He loves to get lost on old roads. |
