McKay Bricker Awarded
This years framing challenge was a three dimensional piece, an artist�s paint brush. Cass designed the frame with a backdrop of a reproduction of the Jasper Johns painting, Savarin depicting an artist�s table with a jar of paint brushes. A shelf simulating the table was used to display the brush in the shadow box frame. Preservation framing techniques were uses to frame the brush. Judging criteria included design, technique, and craftsmanship. The Professional Picture Framers Association (PPFA) is the international trade association serving the art and framing professional The Certified Picture Framer (CPF) designation is awarded by the Professional Picture Framers Association (PPFA) to individuals who successfully meet rigorous testing of current framing standards. Cass earned her CPF designation in 1989 and is one of three CPF�s on the McKay Bricker Staff |
